HR & IT – Personalisation on the cloud

February 26, 2016 Geoffroy De Lestrange

The HR and IT department increasingly collaborate as technology in talent management develops.

Directly soliciting software vendors, HR has explored digital tools and SaaS solutions have allowed HR to overcome technical constraints.

The deployment of the Cloud, for example, has had a huge impact on the IT department, which had neither ability to allow for scalability.

Relieved of certain tasks, many IT departments have reorganised around three key missions: ensuring the overall integrity of the information system, ensuring data security but also, interfacing between different information systems.

Recent technological innovations should strengthen this partnership. Companies today require the flexibility to build applications specific to their particular needs. Platform as a Service (PaaS) are emerging and offering the opportunity for companies to personalise their own HR functions in the cloud. With this software, IT departments will be able to install, configure and use their own applications to meet the specific needs of their business.

Just recently, we launched Cornerstone Edge which provides just this. The new cloud computing architecture and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution provides clients, partners and third-party developers with new, easy-to-use tools and services for quickly creating and deploying new and existing application within the Cornerstone suite of applications.
